When hosting client’s websites and email, we understand the importance of that website and any email accounts being available any time day or night. This is why we have a guarantee of 99.9% uptime 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.
There may be occasional times where we need to perform system maintenance to ensure server security or perform upgrades to ensure the server is always optimised for best performance. We usually schedule updates for low-volume times such a midnight during a weekday. We sometimes may send out an email to notify clients ahead of time about these updates and to whether they are impacting or non-impacting updates.
In the event of something unexpected (like a hardware crash) we may have to perform fixes, updates or upgrades to the server immediately without warning. Please be aware we always have multiple back-ups of server materials (usually backed up once every 24 hours) and additionally have disaster recovery plans in place; as you would expect from a reputable website service company.
The 99.9% service guarantee is effective over a 365 day period and in our last report from April 2017 to April 2018 we achieved higher than the 99.9% uptime by achieving 99.9997% uptime for that period (1 minute, 52 seconds of downtime in a 1 year period).
